It is always great when our equine mounts are healthy and are functioning as they should, but it is also best when the many vehicles we use are also in the same condition. It is very easy to the take the utes, trucks, quads, tractors and the like for granted, because we frequent them so much, and often our focus is elsewhere. But boy do we notice when they are out of action!
Our utes are not only our daily commutes, but can often tow our floats many 1000s of kilometres between home and horse events, trail rides and vet visits. I personally love a good quality ute that both looks professional, and is practical for as many tasks required of it as possible. For those of us with big trucks, the same could be said as with the utes for mileage, and some of them even provide accomodation when we are out and about at events.
Our quads make getting around our properties a hell of a lot easier! They can tow trailers to assist with paddock clean ups, filling stables with bedding and carrying feed. Our tractors make raking, slashing and ploughing efficiently possible with the right implement attached.
We can quite often forget to look after our vehicular work horses amongst our busy lifestyles. When was the last time your trusty steed had a service? Food for thought to keep some of our most frequented rides going for just that little bit longer.
