The Red Poppy is well associated with ANZAC Day, but what about the purple poppy? This poppy is to remember all the animals that have died during the conflicts of war. This is inclusive of horses, dogs, donkeys, camels and birds.
It was quite a strange ANZAC Day this year, not being able to have the usual services and marchs because of the lockdown, but I hope you were all able to take some time to pay your respects.
