Guest Blog From Amylie May Hines On Greasy Heel

It is my absolute pleasure to have our first guest blog from Amylie. Enjoy her insight into greasy heel!

One product that I think should be in everyone’s horsey medical cabinet is a product called Heritage Down Greasy Cream. It’s one of the best products I have used on my horses and ponies to clear up greasy heel. The results are amazing!

I take care of a 29 year old retired thoroughbred and applied this ointment for 1 week and the greasy heel hasn’t been seen since.

The same goes with my welsh pony, it did take me a little while longer to get her greasy heel cleared up, but in knowing this I did take into account that she had thicker hair follicles and I didn’t want to clip her feet out to gain better access to her greasy heel . But nothing that a warm bath and applying the greasy cream didn’t fix, and now it’s gone !

A handy tip that I found:
Bathing the affected area before applying the cream worked best as I’m getting rid of any bacteria and dirt that may in and around the affected area.

I have found with Australia’s wild weather as of late, this product is one I have in my first aid box as well as in my every day medical cabinet.

Besides the amazing results all the Heritage Downs products are completely natural ingredients. Which mean it’s not toxic to horses, humans or nature itself !

Heritage Downs Greasy Cream is a natural all purpose cream that combines Lanolin and Neem with Vitamin E.

You can find Heritage Downs in Horseland stores around Australia or look them up online.
